To the left (west and downhill) is the Rice-Eccles Stadium venue for the symposium.  Left-center is the Nanofab.  To the right is the University Guest House.  All venues are easily walkable!

Located at the western slope of the Rocky Mountains on the Wasatch range, our campus venues are easily accessible and walkable.  This panorama shows the view from the Eccles walking/biking bridge connecting “upper campus” where the Guest House is located (200m walk from the right, to where the image was taken), to “lower campus”, including the USTAR building where the Utah Nanofab is located (left-center of image, just beyond the athletic track.  It is an easy 12-15 minute walk from the Guest House to the USTAR building without crossing any major streets, and with an elevator available on the bridge. Proceeding down hill to the left across campus is the conference venue in the tower of Rice-Eccles Stadium.  This is a 15-20 minute walk from the Guest House. Alternatively, at the foot of this bridge on the left is the Fort Douglas Trax (light rail) station.  Take the Trax line uphill one more stop and you are now 200m away from the USTAR building.  Or take the Trax line downhill two stops and you are at the Rice-Eccles Stadium conference venue.  Red line Trax trains run on 15 min schedules.
